Change the World with an App

Throughout Term 2, our students will be participating in an integrated unit of work that focuses on how they can take action to improve the world for other people. As one application of this, students will have the opportunity to build an app that meets a practical and immediate need for the less fortunate, or raises awareness of a social issue. We would like assistance from a developer to help students develop foundational coding skills, then to design and realise their own app. We are open to suggestions about how to approach this and what platform to use, but currently we are looking at entering the Victorian Schools Games and Apps Challenge. To enter, we would need to use Touch Develop, Visual Studio, or Unity. Victorian Games and Apps Challenge website: http://gac.global2.vic.edu.au/ There is some flexibility, but training sessions would need to occur during the school day (9:30am - 3:30pm).
